FLASHING PERFORMANCE

Together with Viviana Moin, Paris 2008 (Amorph!08)

The starting point of this flashing performance was the place and situation in the area of Saint Ouen and Port de Clignancourt, on the border of Paris. We had built surprises with blinking lights under our clothes and planned to perform under the Periferic line for two hours. After one minute we realized it would be impossible: people, especially the ones's making business there got provoked and told us to go somewhre else. We did find a place with more air around the metro station Porte de Clignancourt and carried on performing there. It was very interesting to work with Viviana Moin through this festival, and the work is to be continued in August 2008 in Helsinki. The performance was part of Amorph!08 - Performance Art Festival. PETIT PERFORMANCE ILLEGAL

Place des Victoires, Paris, 2008

There was an experimental band playing music next to the sculpture at Place des victoires, a car was driving around the sculpture, two strange figures came out of the car windows, taking wild poses while the car was moving. A man with an umberella was biking behind the car throwing confettis in the air. There was a moment of spectacle, then the car drove away, muscians continued playing for a while. Then stopped and left. The participating artists were the "sunday society" friends who used to gather together to play music etc, usually on sundays in Paris, in Cité Internationale des Arts. We had inquired for a permission to perform in different places, but as it seemed impossible to gain one, we decided to perform "illegally".

ROUNDABOUT PERFORMANCE

At In'FrAction- performance festival Sète, France

Duration 20 minutes. In this performance the car was driving around and around the roundabout, while I started to perform through the window, coming slowly out of the car, making strange movements and hanging out of the window, spraying some carneval stuff out of the cans. Finally the car pulled over and I climbed on the roof to show my other face.
